One of the most successful teams in not only the Champ Car World Series, but in all of racing, will be featured on U.S. TV in this Friday's episode of the new HBO magazine show Costas Now, hosted by award-winning broadcaster Bob Costas.

HBO will feature a segment on the five-time Champ Car series championship team Newman/Haas Racing and its celebrity owner Paul Newman during this month's episode of Costas Now premiering in the United States on Friday, September 9th.

Acclaimed broadcaster Bob Costas travelled to the Molson Indy Montreal last month to experience Champ Car racing firsthand and to discuss Newman's long-time passion for motorsports. During the weekend, Costas sat down with Newman and his McDonald's driver and 2004 Champ Car World Series Champion Sebastien Bourdais. Following the event, HBO also spent time with four-time Champ Car titlist and AP Driver of the Century Mario Andretti; who drove for Newman/Haas Racing from 1983 to 1994.

The film crew also received an unexpected surprise when Newman/Haas driver Oriol Servia earned his first career win in the #2 PacifiCare entry. With the victory, Costas followed Newman to the top of podium and was able to show his viewers the pinnacle of Champ Car racing.

Costas Now premiered on HBO in May following a four-year run of On the Record with Bob Costas, also on HBO. Besides his HBO duties, Costas also serves as host of NBC's Olympic coverage.
