Winners of the 2023 race, Ferrari will start third and fourth as the #51 car leads the sister #50.

MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi and the #46 WRT BMW are out of the race after they crashed out just after midnight in the LMGT3 class.

Good morning!

Hello everyone - we are back for some more Le Mans action... Well we hope. There has been a safety car period for around four hours due to the heavy rain. We should be getting back underway shortly as it has eased.

Leading in the Hypercar class is the #8 Toyota with Ryo Hirakawa currently driving. Jenson Button is running in 6th place currently for #38 Hertz Team Jota.

Valentino Rossi's dream of winning the LMGT3 class is over as the #46 Team WRT BMW crashed out just before midnight when running in fifth place.

Kubica involved with a big accident for Vanthoor

Robert Kubica has made contact with the #15 BMW which has crashed as a result and suffered big damage.

All the leading cars are back on slick tyres and the #83 continues to lead by just over 20 seconds from the #50 Ferrari.

Rossi's car clashes with an LMP2 car

Maxime Martin, now back behind the wheel of the #46 car, has spun round an LMP2 car which could result in a penalty.

It's all over for Alpine. The #36 Alpine has also retired from the race which is the car of Mick Schumacher.

The #83 Ferrari continues to lead with Yifie ye at the wheel ahead of the #5 Porsche, #8 Toyota, #50 Ferrari, #51 Ferrari, #12 Hertz Jota Porsche, #7 Toyota, #6 Porsche, #311 Whelan Cadillac, #3 Cadillac.

Alpine are out of the race with one car

Alpine's presence in the 24h of Le Mans is down to just one car as the #35 has retired from the race. That's not the car driven by Mick Schumacher.

Incident between the #4 Porsche and the #85 LMGT3 Iron Dames which has sent Sarah Bovy (Iron Dames) into a spin.

Now the #19 Lamborghini has made a similar mistake with Matteo Cairoli has spun as well. Both drivers are back underway.

The #62 Lamborghini was running inside the top ten but a spin has just seen them drop down the order. The #63 was spun by Danil Kvyat who has just jumped into the car and made the mistake on his out lap.

Current leaders in all three classes

After the latest round of pit stops it's still Schwarztman who leads by 40 seconds from the #50 Ferrari, now driven by Miguel Molina.

In LMP2, the #10 Vector Sport machine is leading the way.

In LMGT3 it's still the #46 machine that has Rossi at the wheel that's on top.

Valentino Rossi's first experience of the 24h of Le Mans is underway as he jumps into the #46 WRT BMW.

At the front, Antonio Fuoco has pitted out of third place as Schwartzman continues to lead in the #83 car.

Antonio Fuoco makes light work of the #5 Porsche Penske car as he makes it a Ferrari 1-2 behind leader Robert Schwartzman.

#46 car update

Valentino Rossi fans get ready for this! The #46 car, currently driven by Rossi's team-mate Ahmad Al Harthy is leading the LMGT3 class.

There's still only been one retirement so far which is the #54 Ferrari after its huge shunt at the Dunlop Chicane.
