Barazi-Epsilon opts for Zytek.
Reigning Le Mans Series LMP2 champion Barazi-Epsilon has decided to defend its titles with the all-new Zytek 07S, the British manufacturer has revealed.
The team, which clinched both its crown and that for drivers with Juan Barazi and Michael Vergers, entertained opportunities to run any number of LMP2 machines next season before plumping for the untried Zytek, which will be based on the successful 06S LMP1 hybrid. Power will come from Zytek's own 3.4-litre normally-aspirated V8, which debuted in Binnie Motorsport's Lola this season.

"It was a long and very difficult choice - we had excellent proposals from every LMP2 manufacturer," confirmed team co-founder Michel Lecomte, "Now though, we are tremendously excited by the challenge of being the first team to run this new car, and to develop a strong technical collaboration with the Zytek factory in order to win again in what is a very competitive category."
The Le Mans-based squad will continue to run on Michelin tyres as it targets both the recently-confirmed five-race LMS programme and the Le Mans 24 Hours, having earned a guaranteed invitation via its title success. A third driver to partner Vergers and Barazi will be named in the coming weeks.
