Ricky Carmichael along with team-mates Nathan Ramsey and Ernesto Fonseca moved quickly to the front of the pack as the field of riders charged the 20-lap main event.

Ramsey crashed early in the race, but would pick up his CRF450R and charge back to a 6th place finish for the night. After a brief battle with Timmy Ferry, Ricky Carmichael took control of the lead and would hold onto 1st place all the way to the chequered flag.

Honda Racing's Ernesto Fonseca finished the main event in a respectable 9th place finish after crashing on the 4th lap.

"It's great racing with the best riders in the world." said Fonseca. "I've won 125cc titles but it's a whole different ball game when you go up against the big guys out here. I have total respect for just how fast the leaders are able to go."

Red Rider Sebastien Tortelli bruised his back in practice and decided not to race the night program. Tortelli should return for round 11 in Houston next week.

Amsoil / Dr. Marten / Journeys / Honda Racing's Mike LaRocco is still recovering from a broken right wrist he sustained in Minneapolis. LaRocco is undergoing a strong rehabilitation program to get his wrist back to 100%. LaRocco's teammate Michael Byrne is still mending from his crash at the Indianapolis Supercross.

Blackfoot Honda's Heath Voss again cracked the 250cc main event top 10 with a 7th place finish. Voss is gaining more confidence as the season progresses, and is currently sitting in 10th place overall in the series.
