11:20am and it's a Pramac Yamaha one-two with Jack Miller returning to the top, on a 1m 58.623s, putting him 0.294s ahead of team-mate Miguel Oliveira.
Johann Zarco, like Marini and Mir, did not ride at the Shakedown and is completing his first MotoGP laps of the year this morning.
The LCR rider has been out on two different Hondas, and is currently 12th.
New factory KTM rider Pedro Acosta rises to sixth place (+0.735s), the top RC16.
There's a sense of urgency here due to the weather.
It's overcast, windy, 'cool' (for Sepang) and there's a threat of rain at any moment.
Timing screens reveal that reigning world champion Jorge Martin has crashed at Turn 1. Rider OK.
No improvement by Marc Marquez during his second run, he remains in 4th (+0.327s).
Luca Marini pits, he's still in 6th. Marini is running the new livery but with the prototype black rear seat unit, without any winglets, used by Aleix Espargaro in the Shakedown.
Marc Marquez heads out for his second run.
The Factory Aprilia team has provided some good info on their plans this morning:
• Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi will have three bikes available, for a total of six bikes in the box.
• The riders will start the morning with the first version of the RS-GP25 that was tested in Barcelona, before trying the RS-GP25 version that was later developed by the Noale Racing Department.
• The goal of the day is to facilitate the riders' adaptation to the bike, and then to focus on set-up, both mechanical and electronical. The day will continue with the testing of new components introduced in all areas.
• The test programme for the coming days is already set and will be updated on the basis of today's developments.
In terms of test riders, the only names on the entry list for the Official test are Yamaha's Andrea Dovizioso and Augusto Fernandez.
The other test riders seen at the Shakedown are thus not expected to return.
Again, a sign of the effort Yamaha is putting in.
Just over half an hour gone and Miguel Oliveira, who had a relatively quiet Shakedown in terms of timesheet position, puts his Pramac bike on top.
Rookie Aldeguer is second, Alex Rins third and Marc Marquez - now completing his first laps of the year - is in fourth.
Speaking of the Yamahas, they still look to have one 'new' bike, with the latest parts, and one end of 2024 spec.
The difference between the Pramac bikes are easiest to spot because one bike for Miller and Oliveira is in black, the other in full race livery.
At Monster, all four bikes are in full livery, but one bike for Quartararo and Rins has the new (unpainted) chassis.
Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini Ducati) is now on top with a 1m 59.140s, which compares with Fabio Quartararo's Shakedown best of 1m 57.794s.
Reigning champion Jorge Martin and title runner-up Francesco Bagnaia are among those to have already been out, but Bagnaia's new team-mate Marc Marquez is yet to start testing.
Jack Miller is currently fastest from rookie Fermin Aldeguer, both having recent track experience from the Shakedown.
But an early third is Honda's Luca Marini, who didn't ride at the Shakedown and was first on track this morning.
Good morning from Sepang where day one of the Official test has just started and, despite a slightly damp track, 12 riders have already been out in the opening 15 mins.
