Aprilia advertising hoarding fails to slow Katoh.
A freak whirlwind blew advertising hoarding and litter onto the Circuit de Catalunya on Saturday afternoon - bringing the final 250cc qualifying session to a halt for 15 minutes. A large Aprilia hoarding blew right across the track at the height of the storm.
"I saw this hoarding blow onto the track and then realised it was advertising Aprilia," said championship leader, and Honda rider, Daijiro Katoh. "I thought they might be trying to stop me taking pole position."
They failed; Katoh took pole from the Aprilia of Tetsuya Harada.
