Crew chief Forcada to mix MotoGP with WSBK.
Experienced MotoGP crew chief Ramon Forcada, currently working with Casey Stoner at the Honda LCR MotoGP team, made his Klaffi Honda WSBK debut with former rider Alex Barros at Assen on Friday.
Forcada has helped Stoner take a pole position and podium finish from his first twelve races in the premier class - and will continue to work with the young Australian at Lucio Cecchinello's team for the remaining five races of the 2006 MotoGP season - but will also work with Barros in three of the four remaining WSBK rounds (the Lausitzring round clashing with the Malaysian Grand Prix).

"There is a new team member joining us this weekend. It is our new crew chief Ramon Forcada," confirmed Klaffi Honda team principal Klaus Klaffenbock. "He worked for Alex in MotoGP for several years and will be with us at Assen, Imola and Magny Cours. So Ramon now has two jobs from now until the end of the season: He is working for Casey Stoner in MotoGP and for Team Klaffi Honda in World's Superbike."
World Superbike rookie Barros, a seven times 500cc/MotoGP race winner, was an impressive fifth fastest in first qualifying at Assen on Friday and will be hoping that Forcada's experience can help him claim a debut WSBK victory before the end of the season.
