Crash.net has been covering the MotoGP World Championship since before the name even existed!

When Crash.net started in 1999 the premier-class was still known as 500cc, supported by the 250 and 125cc World Championships.

Crash.net has been covering the MotoGP World Championship since before the name even existed!

When Crash.net started in 1999 the premier-class was still known as 500cc, supported by the 250 and 125cc World Championships.

That was the year that saw Mick Doohan's title run ended by injury and Repsol Honda team-mate Alex Criville step-up to claim Spain's very first premier-class title, over Suzuki's Kenny Roberts Jr.

Meanwhile, a certain rising star by the name of Valentino Rossi took glory in the 250cc class, with Emilio Alzamora lifting the 125GP crown.

A lot has changed since then - but whether it's 500cc or MotoGP, 250 or Moto2, 125 or Moto3, two-stroke or four-stroke, there's still nothing quite like motorcycle grand prix.

With that in mind, Crash.net has created a new MotoGP-only Instagram account: @crashnet_motogp

Until now, Instagram content from the countless championships we cover has all been merged under @crashnet_ .

But this new account is just for MotoGP fans and adds to our well-known Crash.net MotoGP Facebook and Twitter social media accounts.

So check-out @crashnet_motogp on Instagram, where we'll be keeping the pictures and videos flowing while we wait for racing to begin...
