Emilia Romagna MotoGP, Misano - Qualifying (1) Results
Francesco Bagnaia leads Qualifying 1 for the Emilia Romagna MotoGP at Misano, but title rival Fabio Quartararo misses out on a top two place and won't progress to Qualifying 2.
Iker Lecuona was the rider that denied Quartararo, after the Frenchman had earlier towed Alex Rins to second.
Accidents for Brad Binder, Michele Pirro, Joan Mir and then a third accident of the afternoon for rookie Enea Bastianini brought out yellow flags that interupted the flow of fast laps.
Bagnaia and Lecuona now progress to the Q2 pole position shootout, where they will join the ten fastest riders after third practice.
The others will start, in the following order, from 13th on the grid onwards…
UPDATE: Fabio Quartararo drops from third to fifth, meaning 13th to 15th on the grid, after losing his best lap due to yellow flags.
UPDATE 2: Quartararo's 13th place reinstated.
