According to reports on WRC.com, the accident occurred at the exit of a left corner before the bridge pass and sent the Hyundai underneath the bridge in a shallow section of river which heavy damage sustain to the car.
Hyundai confirmed both Neuville and Gilsoul were able to walk away from the incident but it prematurely cut short the one-day test for the team.
Teammates Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo tested earlier in the week so Neuville’s shunt caused no further disruption to the Korean manufacturer’s preparations.
