Coulthard Wins Belgian Gp.

David Coulthard won his second race of the season at Spa-Francorchamps this afternoon, leading from start to finish in commanding style.

The Scot won the race to the first corner and, despite banging wheels with a determined Mika Hakkinen at La Source, romped away to a convincing victory.

Hakkinen trailed home over ten seconds adrift of his McLaren team-mate, but did enough to re-take the lead of the world championship from Ferrari's Eddie Irvine.

The Irishman could only manage a distant fourth place, 45 seconds behind the winner after 44 laps. He was separated from a podium finish by Heinz-Harald Frentzen's Jordan, which ran faultlessly all afternoon, but could not live with the pace of the two McLarens.

Frentzen's team-mate Damon Hill took sixth place behind Ralf Schumacher's Williams.
