Marquez wins the Japanese Grand Prix and, with it, his fifth MotoGP title! The Honda stars and title rival Dovizioso broke clear of Crutchlow in the closing stages, but the Ducati rider fell on the penultimate lap to confirm Marquez as champion with three rounds to go.

UPDATE: Vinales has been given a three-place grid penalty and Morbidelli a six-place penalty for riding slowly on the racing line and disturbing other riders in qualifying.
Vinales and Nakagami lead Qualifying 1 at the Aragon MotoGP and now progress to Qualifying 2, where they will join the ten fastest riders after FP3. But Zarco and Rossi were unable to progress through Q1 and will start just 14th and 18th on the grid.
